Marketing Communications Manager
We're looking for a dynamic and professional Marketing Communications Manager to join our team in Lexington, MA. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Corporate Messaging
- Help refine key stories and messages to promote ITSMA and its services and capabilities
External Marketing Collateral
- Write, edit, and support development of a wide range of Web pages, datasheets, marketing presentations, success stories, event invitations, press releases, report summaries and alerts, and other promotional activities
- Brainstorm new ways to promote our community and thought leadership
- Assist with creation of blogs, podcasts, and other interactive Web media
Member Communications
Coordinate production and contribute to ITSMA’s:
- Monthly Marketing Newsletter
- Monthly Research Digest
- Quarterly sponsor mailing
- Provide assistance with writing of new member deliverables when requested
Marketing Campaigns
- Manage and contribute to ongoing email and direct mail marketing campaigns for membership, events, research studies, and other ITSMA offers
Reference Management
- Manage reference management system
- Write and edit qualification summaries, testimonials, and success stories
Event Planning and Execution
- Assist in developing themes and agenda for ITSMA conferences, forums, workshops, roundtables, and briefings
- Assist in recruiting speakers for events
- Assist with event planning as necessary, including look and feel, set-up, skits/presentations, etc.
Marketing Excellence Awards Program
- Assist with annual awards program, including category selection, judging, finalist and winner promotion, award ceremony presentations, and PR
Public Relations
- Communicate significant company initiatives through press releases, contact with media influencers, and bylined articles
Requirements:
- 3-5 years experience. Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing preferred
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills required
- Experience with digital, online, and social web marketing channels a plus
- Ability to work independently and creatively in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities and deadlines
- Confident and outgoing manner; excellent interpersonal skills; team player; great follow-through skills
- Proficiency in database applications, Microsoft PowerPoint, and online research

Job Function
The Member Engagement Director manages the member relationship experience for approximately 20 ITSMA members. This position reports to the European SVP, Managing Director, and is a critical position in growing and developing sales through managing member services, expectations and satisfaction.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- The development and management of ITSMA member accounts
- The prospecting for new memberships and the management of renewals
- The building of member relationships to ensure their full utilisation of ITSMA services
- Management of all membership deliverables including member insight consultations and reviews
- The identification of custom consulting or market research needs through working account knowledge and development
- Collaboration with ITSMA strategic partners and associates to ensure ITSMA member projects are properly managed and delivered, maintaining quality of service and member satisfaction.
- Regularly report on Membership activity and forecast sales
- Participate in ITSMA events as appropriate, delivering presentations and facilitating where appropriate
Requirements:
- Degree qualified with a minimum of 10 years experience in a sales, account management or marketing environment
- Credible at all levels of engagement, with a senior management presence
- Proven ability to manage multiple sales or consulting projects
- Proven business development skills with the ability to create opportunities
- A consulting approach track record
- Confident and outgoing manner; excellent communication and presentation skills; team player
- High energy and stamin
- Willingness to travel 60 – 70% of the time, UK and Europe
Beneficial:
- Sales or marketing background in the IT Services, Software systems or telecommunications Industries
- Knowledge of larger corporate working practices, and experience of working within a small company
- Knowledge of the IT Services Industry and its main players
- Knowledge of Brand, Thought Leadership, Account Based Marketing or Marcoms methodologies, working best practice
- A desire to learn a consulting business
